What a ceramic coating actually does

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your clear coat. Once cured it forms a hard, hydrophobic layer that sits above the paint and takes the abuse instead of it.

The practical difference is maintenance. Dirt struggles to key into the surface, water sheets off instead of beading and drying into spots, and a wash that used to take two hours takes forty minutes.

Our process

1. Decontamination — chemical iron removal, tar dissolution and a clay treatment to strip embedded contaminants.
2. Paint correction — one or two stages of machine polishing to remove swirls and etching. A coating locks in whatever is underneath, so this step is not optional.
3. Panel wipe — every surface stripped of polishing oils so the coating bonds directly to clear coat.
4. Application — coating levelled panel by panel under controlled lighting.
5. Cure — infrared curing, then 24 hours indoors before collection.

What you should expect

Coatings are not scratch-proof, and anyone claiming otherwise is selling something. What they do give you is chemical resistance, dramatically easier cleaning, and gloss that holds for years rather than months.

We include a complimentary maintenance wash at three months to check the coating and correct anything that needs it.
